Frank N. Gustafson II
Frank was introduced to commercial construction working summers while in high school. He then went to work full time for Frank N. Gustafson & Sons, Inc. in 1973 after graduating from the University of New Hampshire. During the 70’s he worked as a laborer, carpenter, and carpenter foreman and began estimating and managing projects in the early 1980’s. He started Case Construction Company in 1984 to expand into the open shop market and developed the high-end interior fit-out portion of business during this period. He ran multiple projects as a Superintendent/Project Manger for both companies. He has served as the President of Case Construction Company and General Manager of Frank N. Gustafson & Sons, Inc. since 1992.

Project Manager/ Vice President

Kurt Gustafson
Kurt worked summers for Case construction in high school and college and came on full time after graduating from Holy Cross in 2004. Kurt has worked in the field working as a carpenter and running small jobs. He gained experience running a larger project serving as an assistant to the Project Superintendent on our 80,000 s/f mill renovation in 2005. In 2006 he was the Project Foreman on the restoration/rebuild of Watch Hill Yacht Club, in 2008 the Private Residence project in Jamestown and in 2009 the St. Bernard Church project in North Kingstown. Kurt recently finished the Charles Perkins Bldg, a 24,000 s/f mill renovation that neighbors the Westfield Lofts. In the past few years, Kurt has also transitioned into the office helping with estimating and construction management. At the same time he has overseen all of the field work while running the larger projects.

Lead Estimator/ Project Manager

Edward J. McDonald
Ed has been with Case Construction Company since 1994. He has worked as a Project Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager handling all types of projects, but primarily larger, new building construction. Prior to joining Case Construction Company, Ed worked at Fairlawn Construction for 14 years. While at Fairlawn, Ed worked both in the field and in the office gaining valuable experience as both a Project Manager and an Estimator.

Ed has a broad range of successfully completed projects in his resume and has become an important part of the organization. He has demonstrated a unique ability to work extremely well with construction people at every level. Ed handles larger projects generally in the $3,000,000 to $10,000,000 range. He also has a Massachusetts Superintendent license.

Project Manager

Derek Venticinque
Derek Venticinque has come on board with nearly 20 years of construction experience under his belt. Derek was exposed to construction at an early age with a family business in residential construction where he learned the general means and methods of constructibility. After graduating from University of Rhode Island he continued with his passion of building and entered the commercial construction industry in 2008 as an assistant estimator. Over the past 12 years, Derek has expanded his knowledge thru 1st hand field experience and construction management. Derek has been a  Project Manager for the past 10 years completing  projects of various types and sizes that include recreational aquatic facilities, school gymnasiums, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, higher education facilities and municipal parking garages. Derek has managed projects ranging from $2 Million to $22 Million over his carrer and welcomes new challenges with every project he is involved in.

Project Superintendent

Bob Silva
Bob has worked for Case Construction for over 20 years, starting as a carpenter and working up to Foreman and Project Superintendent in the last four years. Bob’s was the on site superintendent for the 80,000 s/f conversion of the former Rua Fasteners into the 69 apartments now known as Westfield Lofts. Most recently, Bob has run the restoration of the Smith Mathewson Building in downtown Providence, as well as 80,000 SF for UNFI.

Al Cordeiro
Al joined Case with over 25 years of commercial and residential construction experience. Al specializes is projects that require the most precise detailing and coordination.

Steve Therrien
Steve has been with Case for the past five years, and has over 30 years experience in the Rhode Island commercial construction field. His vast knowledge of building, history with local trades, and military background help him run an efficient project from start to finish.

James Switzer
James joined Case in 2017 with over 20 years experience in the commercial construction industry. He has valuable experience as a foreman, superintendent and a safety supervisor.

Office Manager/Controller

Karen Jelinski
Karen came to Case Construction during the summer of 2013 with over 25 years of commercial construction experience, and has become a valuable asset to the company. She assists with submittals, material ordering, bidding, and all other aspects of a project that require her expertise. Karen recently has been promoted to office manager and continues to excel in this expanded role.
